Script for 'The Move


Scene 1

INT. DAY. HOUSE

The house is very peaceful and there is nothing wrong with it.
A mother and young girl are living in a house but her mother wants to move to somewhere new. So results in telling the young girl that they are moving to a new house.

Sarah is wearing everyday clothing and dancing in the front room to music on the Television.

SARAH
(Singing to music on the television)

SARAH’s mother comes and interrupts her dancing and comes to tell her something.
MOTHER
(Enters room and interrupts SARAH)
‘Now I’ve got something to tell you, were moving house.’

SARAH is a very stubborn little girl and doesn’t like change.

Scene 2

BLACKOUT SCREEN

There is a blacked out screen that comes up with writing on it saying ‘She was just a normal girl…’ with voice over.

VOICE OVER
‘She was just a normal girl.’


Scene 3

Flashing images of the new house, happens twice


Scene 4

BLACKOUT SCREEN

There is a blacked out distorted screen with writing on it saying ‘Until her life moved forever’ with voice over.

VOICE OVER
‘Until her life moved.’

Scene 5

EXT. NEW HOUSE – DAY

They arrive at the house, the car draws up the drive.

SARAH
(Steps out of the car holding a box of toys)
(Starts to move towards the house with a worried look on her face)


Scene 6

INT. NEW HOUSE – STAIRS – DAY

SARAH
(Starts walking up the stairs to her new room with the box in her hands, walks across the hallway to her room and then you can see her room)


Scene 7

INT. BEDROOM – NIGHT
SARAH
(Playing with her toys and suddenly the door slams. She goes to sits on her bed and all of a sudden there is a note pad on saying ‘DIE’ and broken dolls all over the floor. She grabs her quilt and there are hand prints on blood. The drawers in her bedroom open)


Scene 8

BLACKOUT SCREEN

There is a blackout screen saying ‘There’s No Way Out’.

VOICE OVER
‘There’s no way out.’

Scene 9

INT. KITCHEN – NIGHT

MOTHER (VOICE OVER-PHONE CALL)
‘I need your help. There’s something wrong with SARAH. There’s something evil in this house.’

VICAR
(Standing in the door way of the kitchen, leaning against the door examining the room)

There are foot prints of blood on the floor in their kitchen but no one knows where they have come from.

VICAR
(Looking at the bloody foot prints on the floor)
‘I sense an evil presence in this house.’

Scene 10

BLACKOUT SCREEN

Blackout distorted screen saying ‘There’s nowhere to hide’.

VOICE OVER
‘There’s nowhere to hide.’

Scene 11

INT. BEDROOM – NIGHT

VICAR
(Looking over at SARAH)

SARAH
(Rocking in the corner of her room)

VICAR
(Trying to perform an exorcism on her)

SARAH
(Starts to get scared and mad at the VICAR, then her face becomes covered in blood and tears)


Scene 12

BLANK SCREEN

This will be a blank screen with the name of the film and coming soon on it.

VOICE OVER
‘The Move’
